It all began with a sleeping toad sketch but then I decided to add other backyard plants and observed creatures. I wanted to capture the fleeting moments, as the appearance of trout lily and the fern korus is so short. The image represents a day well spent, watching, listening and responding to the special season of spring, which is also my favorite time.
